can you start ballet at the age of 13?
I’m 13 and I am already committed to horseback riding. I own a horse but through all that time I’ve had an interest for ballet. Can you take classes only two days a week, and is it very time consuming? I don’t want to do it as a carrier I would just like to be good at it and do it for fun.Also is it expensive?
You can start Ballet at any age (I started at 17!). Taking class 2 days a week is perfect for a Beginner. You will have to practice on your own outside of class, that’s the best way for you to improve and progress at a faster pace.
The tuition fee or class cost varies per studio and state. Most studios in the US usually charge $13-18 per class. Try www.yellowpages.com to see where the local dance studios are – visit their websites or give them a call to find out about the class fees.
Go for it! You’re still young and have plenty of time.
