Howcome Grand Slam has all these on his coat?
He’s obviously a Chestnut, but howcome he has all those black spots on his coat?

I’m pretty sure its not from flies or fleas, nobody would allow that with a million dollar racehorse, is that how his coat naturally is?
I’m just wondering because my horse is a dark chestnut, but she has those random black spots on her flank.

they could be just marks frbites from other horses when he was young or probelly just blemishes in his coat there nothing seriuos its deffently the colour of his coat but caused from could be a couple of things like with some horse if they get a rub mark or a bite from another horse the hair grows back a different coloure it even could be dapples in his coat he is a pretty dark chestnut.leah
sorry luv but all race horse even the top ones when they were weanlings they are all turned out when weaned with other colts and the fillies are turned out with fillies pretty much up to the age of a yearling i worked with tb for years and bread top horses and worked at top studs so dont tell me and i didnt say that it was that i said it could be or it could just be blemmishes in his coat which alot of chestnuts get
and they are defently not fly bites because flys dont leave big black patches if any thing theyl leave little lumps
